GRAN PROYECTO DE RECUPERACIÓN DEL PATRIMONIO ARTÍSTICO-MONUMENTAL
CARLOS CRUZ-DIEZ

Project type: Restoration

Artist: Carlos Cruz-Diez

Status: Undergoing inspection

Project year: 1974

Ubicación: Maiquetía 1162, Vargas, Venezuela.

In the area of restoration, the Artistic-Monumental Heritage Grand Recovery Project is the first global recovery project for public and private spaces, with the aim of restoring the cities’ artistic-monumental icons and pursuing their preservation over time.

This extensive project began specifically with the work of the French-Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, with In Situ acting on behalf of the artist and his studio in Paris, and as the only authorized firm to undertake restoration and maintenance work on the artist’s creation. Our work honors Carlos Cruz-Diez’s will and stays truthful to what was conceptually planned by the artist at the time, using adequate materials based on current technology.

Relying on the creator’s full authorization, homologation, and trust, and endorsed by the Atelier Cruz-Diez in Paris—advocates for the artist’s moral rights and responsible for artwork execution—the aim is to return the artworks to their original condition and recover their heritage, historical, iconic, symbolic, touristic, economic, and social value.
