The Association of Executives of the State of Carabobo in the city of Valencia focuses on furthering management improvements through a comprehensive development and training of executives’ managerial skills, research and management processes outreach. Its mission is to serve as an institution for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and expertise that combines and encourages the executive’s individual and collective growth, and acts as a convergence point for their integral development by fostering their enthusiasm and sense of belonging.
Plafón Cromoestructura is part of the Chromatic Ambiance created by Carlos Cruz-Diez for the Association of Executives of the State of Carabobo headquarters and it is showcased on the suspended ceiling inside the building’s auditorium. This red, green, white and black structure, measuring 35m x 4000m2, in addition to embellishing room’s interior, acts as acoustic treatment on the space, removing potential echoes generated inside.

Carlos Cruz-Diez (Caracas 1923 – Paris, 2019) is a French-Venezuelan artist who lives and works in Paris as of 1960. His plastic proposal, one of the most original within the kinetic movement, unveils the artist as one of the most important color theorists of the 20th century and one of the most prominent figures of contemporary art. His work gravitates around the chromatic phenomenon and comprises eight investigations: Couleur Additive, Physichromie, Induction Chromatique, Chromointerférence, Transchromiea, Chromosaturation, Chromoscope and Couleur à l’Espace. His optokinetic work is exhibited in permanent collections from prestigious museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York; Tate Modern in London; Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville and Centre Pompidou in Paris; the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Wallraf Richartz Museum in Colonia, among others.
